Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of pixlproof.com and the Pixl Proof platform (the “Service”), operated by Pixl Events (“Pixl Proof,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

1. The Service

Pixl Proof is an automated website quality-control tool. It scans websites you submit, analyzes them with a combination of rule-based checks and AI, and produces findings, scores, and reports to help you identify potential issues. The Service is provided as an aid — it does not guarantee that a website is error-free, compliant with any law or standard, or fit for any particular purpose. You remain responsible for reviewing and acting on its output.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

• Scan websites you do not own or otherwise have permission to test;
• Use the Service to gain unauthorized access to, disrupt, or overload any system or network;
• Reverse engineer, resell, or attempt to extract the underlying models or source of the Service except as permitted by law;
• Upload or transmit anything unlawful, infringing, malicious, or that violates the rights of others;
• Use the Service to build a competing product, or in any way that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to scan any URL you submit and to share any report you generate.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the websites you scan and the data you provide. You grant us a limited license to process that content as needed to operate the Service — for example, to render and analyze pages, store screenshots and findings, and display reports to you and anyone you share them with. Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Plans, billing, and free tier

We offer a free tier and may offer paid plans. Paid plan pricing, limits, and billing terms will be presented at the point of purchase. Unless stated otherwise, paid subscriptions renew automatically for the period selected, and you may cancel at any time effective at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing on a prospective basis with reasonable notice.

6. Share links

The Service lets you generate read-only links so others can view a finding or report without an account. You are responsible for who you send these links to. Anyone holding a valid, unexpired link can view the shared content and mark items as fixed. Links expire automatically after 30 days.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including AI, hosting, storage, and email vendors) and may interact with third-party websites you choose to scan. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of those third parties.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Pixl Events and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or to the Service except the limited right to use it as described here.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its findings will detect every issue on a website.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pixl Proof and Pixl Events will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pixl Proof, Pixl Events, and our personnel from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your scanning of websites you were not authorized to test.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive — including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Pixl Events is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
